Hello!
My name is Ujwal. (ooze-wol). I write here to share my experiences about activism, entrepreneurship, experiments and change in Nepal. Most of what I write is about a long windy, curvy trip towards trying to create a positive change here, in Nepal.
I love to build. From building innovative businesses to online branding, from making eco-systems of budding entrepreneurs to groups of anti-bandh activists from growing organic coffee in his village to building international quality websites on the internet.
For the activists among you, my ideas about a youth led new Nepal’s manifesto are
here.
I organize and direct an action against
enforced Nepal bandh group of 3500 activists. I have also co-founded a global 3000
strong entrepreneurs group working to jump start Nepal’s resurgence. It is called
“Entrepreneurs for
Nepal“.
I have been involved with technology for the last 15 years and excited on its positive implications on humanity. I am the founder of Digital Max solutions, a south Asian offshore website developer team and an online solutions provider based in Nepal (north of India) for 8 years now. Our clients range from multi-nationals from Australia to Internet companies in USA.
I love traveling in Nepal. So 3 years ago, I started exoticbuddha.com, a innovative travel information portal with more than 2000 travel articles and helpful answers on traveling in Nepal.. Check it out if you want to travel to and in Nepal!
In the last year, i have been busy in numerous new startups and experimental ventures. dmslist.com, a job listing portal for Nepal and North India, and utilizing my farming roots, I am jump-starting shangrilacoffee.com, an organic coffee farm and traders in western Nepal.
Often restless and traveling all around Nepal, I spend most of my time, contemplating on how the world will look like 50 years from now, and how fusion of technology and common sense can bring positive change to Nepal (and the world). I am currently busy working on how to start a Nepali common sense led revolution to bring positive change in Nepal.
Hope you enjoy reading and I will welcome your rants!
My facebook profile tells a lot more about me. ( a
bit too much)
Warmth,
