पहिलो कुरो – यी भविष्यवाणीहरू सत्य नबनून् – मेरो कामना यहि हो।

तर चुरो कुरो – “नेतृत्व भनेकै पूर्वतयारी हो“।
कोरोनाले थलो पारेको विश्वमा यी भविष्यवाणीहरुले उब्जाएको मुख्य प्रश्न नै यो हो “हामी कसरी यी आउनसक्ने अनर्थका तीता आँकलनसँग जुध्नको लागि तयारी गर्दछौँ त?” भविष्यको लागि कहिल्यै पनि राम्ररी तयारी गर्न नजानेका हामीले या त आउँदा विपतहरुका लागि पूर्व तयारी गरौँ वा युग नै अन्त्य हुनसक्ने विनाशकारी परिणाम भोगौँ। यदि नागरिकको हितको लागि कोही चिन्तित हुनुहुन्छ भने कृपया आजैदेखि रुपान्तरणकारी समाधानका पाटाहरु खोज्ऩ सुरु गरौँ ताकि यी भविष्यवाणीहरु गलत सावित होऊन् र त्यसका कारक तत्वलाई जरैदेखि उखेल्न सकियोस्। 

१. लोकतन्त्र:  नेपालमा अब हुने कुनैपनि निर्वाचनहरु न त स्वतन्त्र हुन्छ वा त निष्पक्ष नै।

भविष्यमा हुने कुनै पनि स्थानीय, प्रादेशिक र संघीय निर्वाचनहरुमा जित्ने उम्मेद्वारहरु त्यही शासक शोसक वर्गको छत्रछायाँ र चाकडीका भरमा मात्र चुनिन्छन्। अर्थात सीमित दोहनकारी र केही निश्चित व्यक्तिका प्रतिनिधिले मात्र यो देशको शासन गरिरहनेछन्‌। गैर सरकारी युनियनहरु, बाणिज्य संघहरु तथा निजामती संघ-संस्थाका नेतृत्व चयन पनि उही “शोसक शासक सम्भ्रान्त” वर्गकै निर्णय अनुरुप नै निधो हुने तय हुन्छ। निर्वाचनका ऐनहरुदेखि समयतालिका तथा निर्वाचन आयोग स्वयं यही  “शोसक शासक सम्भ्रान्त” वर्गको हितका लागि प्रतक्ष रुपमा काम गर्नेछन्। निर्वाचनहरु धान्न नसकिने, अनुपयुक्त,

What can go wrong in Nepal in the next 2 years (by 2022)?

I am really hoping that the following 12 predictions for Nepal will NOT come true.

But then, “Leadership is Preparedness.” The primary question that my forecast poses is, “how do we prepare best for these possible scenarios that spell cataclysm for Nepal? For a nation that has never learnt to prepare well, either we prepare ahead or suffer the catastrophic consequences of a lifetime. Anyone who is concerned for the welfare of their fellow citizens should start working towards finding and uprooting the underlying causes by building “transformational” solutions in the days ahead. And in the process prove this document’s predictions  false.

1. Democracy: “Nepal will have neither free nor fair elections.”
In all future local, provincial and federal elections, winnable candidates are chosen based on cronyism  i.e loyalty to the “extractive ruling elite”. In other words, only representation from extractive few will rule Nepal. “Can a small house continue to exist in between two skyscrapers?” At a function, a stranger bluntly asked me, hinting at Nepal’s reality between India and China.

I answered, “Of-course it will if that cottage happens to belong to a Guru, a teacher respected by the inhabitants of those two nearby skyscrapers. But, the property may not survive if it’s used as a grazing ground for “Gorus” (oxes/cattle). On the way back home, this random conversation got me thinking deeper. Whether it’s a house or a nation, their very survival depends on how they get along with their neighbors and how their neighbors perceive them. And that depends on the behavior of that house or that nation. If our neighbors perceive us as beggars, good-for-nothing types, then they will be tempted to “cure” us, in other words, they “intervene” on our internal affairs. यिनै बिचारहरुले १९ औँ र २० औँ शताव्दीका अर्थ-राजनीतिक वादहरु जन्मन प्रेरित गर्यो।  स्वतन्त्रताको एकल बुझाईबाट पूँजीबाद वा क्यापिटलिजम फस्टायो जसले व्यक्ति केन्द्रित “स्वतन्त्रता”लाई बढि भन्दा बढि महत्व दिने खालको राज्यप्रणाली बनाउन आँट्यो। तर त्यसले समाजमा ल्याएको चरम विफेद र असमानताको प्रतिरोधमा मार्क्सवाद जन्म्यो, अनि साम्यवाद हुदैँ समाजवाद जसले “समानता” लाई बढि महत्व दिदैँ समाज केन्द्रित राज्यप्रणाली बनाउन थाल्यो। यसरी पुजीँवाद र मार्क्सवाद (र यीनका उपजहरू -लेनिनवाद, स्टालिनवाद, माओवाद आदि) बीचका घम्साघम्सीले हामीलाई २०औँ शताव्दी कटायो। यी दुवैमा अपुग र अपूर्ण भएको ठानी केहिले “भातृत्व”लाई नै पुजा गर्ने मुल शिद्धान्त पनि बनाउन खोजे। तर त्यसको उपज भनेको उग्र राष्ट्रवाद अथवा फासिजम जस्ता वादहरु जन्मिए जसका प्रयोगले विध्वंस यति मच्चायो कि करोडौँका ज्यानै गयो। यसरी एक्लाएक्लै यी तिनै स्वतन्त्रता, समानता र भातृत्वको बिफलताको ईतिहासबाट केहि सिक्ने हो भने अहिले २१ औँ शताव्दीमा यी एकअर्काका परिपुरक हुन्‌ र एक्लै होईन मिलाएरै अघि बढाउने शिद्धान्त चाहिन्छ भन्ने
