\u0928\u092e\u0938\u094d\u0924\u0947 !\u00a0\u092e\u0947\u0930\u094b \u0928\u093e\u092e \u0909\u091c\u094d\u0935\u0932 \u0939\u094b\u0964 \u092e\u0947\u0930\u094b \u092c\u093e\u0930\u0947\u092e\u093e \u0928\u0947\u092a\u093e\u0932\u0940\u092e\u093e\u0964<\/a><\/p>\n \u2022Who am I ?<\/a> \u2022What do I do ? <\/a>\u2022How ?<\/em> \u00a0<\/a>I ran for the 2013 Constituent Assembly (CA) elections in a tough constituency Kathmandu-5 as an independent candidate under the “dog” symbol securing 1163 votes in my 1st try.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/a>I am also the co-founder of\u00a0Entrepreneurs for Nepal<\/a>, a 100,000 + strong vibrant platform that builds Entrepreneurs in\/for Nepal. (Do join its vibrant Facebook\u00a0group here<\/a>)<\/p>\n Utilizing my farming roots, I am slowly building a small farmer’s cooperative of (25 farmer families), called Shangrila coffee<\/strong>,\u00a0an organic coffee farm in Syangja, western Nepal<\/a>\u00a0since 2009. We sell organic coffee (arabica). I have a dream that soon, poor families in our villages will sustain their lives locally through coffee and\u00a0coffee-tourism, and we will be able to bring back our youths who continue to disappear for years to work in ‘Arab’ countries far from Nepal. My dream is to have\u00a0our villages be famous as coffee -vineyards where people travel from all around the world to “taste” our coffee \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n I helped start a citizens movement \u00a0“Nepal unites<\/a>” or in Nepali, “\u092a\u0930\u093f\u0935\u0930\u094d\u0924\u0928\u0915\u094b \u0932\u093e\u0917\u093f \u0939\u093e\u092e\u0940 \u0928\u0947\u092a\u093e\u0932\u0940 \u090f\u0915<\/a>”\u00a0to unite\u00a0Nepali citizens to become responsible enough to pressure leaders to\u00a0become accountable so that we can make Nepal prosperous.<\/p>\n <\/a>I built\u00a0<\/span>an alliance against the Bandh\u00a0(forced shutdowns in Nepal). We regularly defy bandh by various means including vehicle rallies on bandh days. In Facebook it started by being\u00a0called, “Die Nepal Bandh Die” with over 5000 members. Our motto is “\u0928\u0947\u092a\u093e\u0932 \u0916\u0941\u0932\u094d\u0932\u093e \u091b ! Nepal is (always) open !” Now its purpose has been wholly adopted by BibekSheel Nepali which continues to keep Nepal open (where it is influential) \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022What is my vision for Nepal ?<\/em><\/p>\n I believe responsible citizens along with accountable leadership will build a peaceful prosperous Nepal (within my lifetime). \u2022 H<\/em>ow did I get started?<\/em><\/p>\n I went to the US to study Astrophysics but came back to Nepal <\/a>as a visual artist & multimedia designer. At one time I set out to be a zen monk but instead trained to become a Conflict Resolution Trainer in\u00a02002 trying to teach various warring sides in Nepal and victim youths on how to keep “dialogue” open while fighting with each-other in Nepal’s civil war. At the end of 2002, I started Digital Max Solutions, a\u00a0website development and social media branding business<\/a>. Since then, my former employees & associates have gone on to start 30 + \u00a0similar IT companies in Nepal. I am proud to have played a role in jump-starting a web services IT industry in Nepal. It remained a great experiment and helped thousands of travelers while traveling in Nepal.\u00a0dmslist.com, a job listing portal for Nepal and Nepali all over the world in 2008 and Nepali news\u00a0aggregation services (like Google news)\u00a0called newsfeed.com.np (all have ceased to \u00a0exist \u00a0along with many other projects that I am still proud of starting.
